STUTTGART, Germany Spaniard Feliciano Lopez reached his first final in nearly a year when he beat local favorite Mischa Zverev 6-7 (2) 7-6 (4) 7-5 in the battle of the southpaws on Saturday to book a spot in the Stuttgart Open final. Zverev will next face Feliciano Lopez of Spain for a place in the Sunday final.

In a duel that lasted just over two hours, Lopez, World No.33, defeated Berdych 6-7 (4), 6-3, 6-4, reports Efe.

Pouille, who was given a wild card to play at the grass-court tournament, will be going for his second title of the season and his third overall. Spaniard earned the first break point of the match with a return victor and Mischa double faulted to end the match in the worst possible manner.

Sixth seed Zverev hit 16 aces and looked comfortable throughout.

Mischa Zverev awaits Lopez in the semi-finals after the German beat Tommy Haas - Roger Federer's conqueror in the second round - in straight sets, 6-4 6-4.

Pouille's semifinal opponent will be another Frenchman, Benoit Paire, who ousted Jerzy Janowicz of Poland 6-1, 7-6 (4).
