The Evening Standard claim Chelsea have now reignited their interest in Morata after opening talks with Madrid and are hoping to wrap-up a £70m deal over the coming days.

Managers are now pressing ahead with their plans for the summer transfer window so we'll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe.

According to Javier Silles of AS, Chelsea are now Morata's best chance of getting a move this summer after he appeared to be close to joining United prior to their capture of Lukaku.

Now Chelsea are looking around the at their options, but with Morata known to be available - at the right price - they have not opened dialogue with the European champions about the 24-year-old.

The report states that there is unlikely to be any hurdles to reach an agreement between the player and the Blues with both parties willing to get this over the line.

Meanwhile, Morata now earns £100,000-a-week at Real Madrid.

Morata managed to net 20 goals across all competitions for Real Madrid last term despite playing backup to Karim Benzema for the centre-forward position.

The Times say Chelsea are ready to loan out Kurt Zouma following the club's signing of Antonio Rudiger. Manager Antonio Conte has identified the 24-year-old as an important part of the back three which now has Gary Cahill, David Luiz and Cesar Azpilicueta as the first choice defenders.
