An hour later he tweeted again: "There was no marriage proposal as such to Ayesha Gulalai as she herself said in Asma Shirazi's show, just a discussion".

Jalal Wazir demanded an inquiry against Qayyum for bringing a bad name to the tribal people for his own personal interests.

He said the Inspector General of Punjab had been ordered to provide security to Gulalai, who was receiving threats following her disclosures against the PTI chief.

Chairman, Imran Khan claimed that Ayesha Gulalai has been used and bought by the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) on Thursday.

On Friday, Muhammad Amir Khan, chairman of the PTI's youth revival committee submitted an application to the SHO of Peshawar's Hayatabad police station, requesting him to lodge an FIR against Gulalai.

Gulalai announced in Islamabad that "Imran Khan's list of sins is very long" and that she chose to speak out because she does not want to compromise her integrity.

Ayesha Gulalai, a member of the Assembly, had quit on August 1 accusing Khan and other top leaders of ill-treating and disrespecting them.

Earlier today, the National Assembly passed a resolution, supported by the PML-N, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement, calling for the formation of a committee to probe Gulalai's allegations.

Following this, the PTI served a legal notice to Gulalai demanding that she replies to the letter within 10 days or pay compensation to the tune of Rs. 30 million. "She was there with the NA-1 delegation; we discussed the seat as she wanted a ticket and asked me to let her campaign there".

He said the PTI chief considers himself above the accountability process and is acting like an emperor.
