Not content with already being the most streamed song of all time or the first Spanish-language song to be No. 1 in the US since "Macarena" in 1996, Luis Fonsi's global smash hit is now also the most viewed video in YouTube history. It's the first video ever on YouTube to top three billion views.

In the same vein, Daddy Yankee, an artiste he featured on the song released an Instagram video to celebrate the achievement.

The Bieber version has logged 12 weeks at number one on the U.S. singles chart, the first Spanish-language song to reach the top spot since "Macarena" in 1996.

Beating See you Again, #Despacito crosses the 3 billion mark on #Youtube, becoming the most viewed song, as per reports.

On the heels of its massive radio success, "Despacito" by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee is officially the most-viewed production ever on YouTube.

The digital led contest, in association with VH1 India, prompted people from all across India to send in their renditions of choreography to the beats of the hit song. I'm in love with your Despacito Dance Video. It continues the already impressive run for the track, which has sat at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for 12 weeks now with a remix that features Justin Bieber.

"Despacito" has no plans of slowing down when it comes to breaking records. We're living in an interesting time right now when people want to divide us.
