Wenger Wants The Ox To Stay And Become An Arsenal Great

Chelsea is preparing to launch a £25 million (about $33 million) move for Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, according to reports.

Aside from Mesut Özil and Alexis Sanchez, one player whose future is surrounded in unknowns is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

This is according to the Daily Mail, who claim that the the Gunners had rejected Chelsea's initial advances for the England global.

And the ex-Wimbledon defender suggested that Manchester United should put together a lucrative offer to bring Oxlade-Chamberlain to Old Trafford from Arsenal to replace Herrera.

The Mail claim that while Arsenal have rebuffed "initial overtures", Chelsea are set to "intensify" efforts.

As per the Daily Star, Conte is a huge admirer of Oxlade-Chamberlain, and has highlighted him to the Chelsea board as a player he would like them to sign before the end of the transfer window.

Liverpool are reportedly more open to that idea, but have not quite shown as much of an interest.

Arsene Wenger has made it clear to Arsenal's board that he does not want to lose Oxlade-Chamberlain to another Premier League rival. "He's had some small injuries but previous year he was much more stable".

"He is on the way up and he will continue to move up because that potential is there". I personally think he's a hugely talented player and he's on the way up. He's today very conscious of his qualities as well, something he was not always.
