Cara Mund bagged the crown after competing against 50 beauties from different states. "They ruined the Miss America pageant with political correctness".

Cara was one of 51 contestants in the pageant.

Mund was set to take the traditional winner's morning-after dip in the Atlantic City ocean Monday morning outside Boardwalk Hall, where she won the crown.

"I do believe it's a bad decision", Mund said immediately, earning big cheers from the crowd. By the time she advanced to the Q&A portion and was asked about the No. 1 item on her bucket list, Mund reiterated it once again. Also, in the interview section, She said her opinion on Donald Trump over the withdrawing of the Paris Agreement.

Not just this, she looks further to Emma Watson for her active steps in women's right in the United Nation and her industriousness. Mund has a degree in Business Entrepreneurship and Organization.

Mund, who has been accepted to law school at the University of Notre Dame, defeated runner-up Jennifer Davis (Miss Missouri), 2nd runner-up Kaitlyn Schoeffel (Miss New Jersey), 3rd runner-up Briana Kinsey (Miss District Of Columbia) and 4th runner-up Margana Wood (Miss Texas).

The Ivy League graduate is a dance champion in the nationals who had undergone Radio City Rockettes training. She mesmerised judges with her jazz performance to Michael Jackson's The Way You Make Me Feel in the talent competition.

On the philanthropic front, Cara has helped raise nearly $80,000 over the past ten years for the Make-A-Wish foundation and was recognised by President Obama in 2011 for her charitable efforts.

She helped raise over $40,000 for her platform, Attacking Addiction: Prevention, Recovery and Restoring Families and over $10,000 for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. She will be able to put toward her education the $50,000 she has received for winning the Miss America pageant.

Mund has participated in several beauty pageants since she was six years old. The top 15 contestants still simply strutted their stuff in bikinis (except for Miss Pennsylvania, who began her rise as America's Newest Sweetheart while wearing a one-piece) with nary a favorite gym activity or mention of healthy eating practices in sight.
