Harry Potter: Wizard's Unite is reportedly Pokemon Go developer Niantic's next game

Bustle reports that Niantic is teaming up with Warner Bros.to create the program, which will actually be called "Harry Potter: Wizards Unite".

Gamers would couldn't get enough of the insanely popular "Pokemon Go" app a year ago will soon have a new mobile obsession, with the news that the same developers are now taking a crack at the "Harry Potter" franchise. According to Niantic and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and WB Games to develop the new game.

There's still lots to learn about Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, and we'll be sure to bring you more information on the game as soon as it becomes available. The games will vary from mobile to console games, and will feature both new characters and - excitingly - could feature familiar characters "at different points in their lives" from the Harry Potter stories.

When Niantic launched Pokémon GO, the world went wild. Developer Niantic captured the attention and hearts of players all around the world with last year's smash hit, and today, the company has announced its follow-up project - Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. Based in the world of science fiction, players could join one of two factions and battle to secure real-world territories, claim AI bots for their armies, and control or "hack" portals that would pop up in a wide range of locations.
