Google Pixel 2 XL users now facing flashing screen issue

Whilst the new software update is largely focused on the Pixel 2 XL, it does include a fix for the annoying "clicking noise" found in the smaller sized Pixel 2.

Google's Pixel 2 XL flagship smartphone has been met with several issues related to its OLED display.

The official word from Google is that it is now working to fix this issue.

Note: Make sure you take a complete backup of all important files on your Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL before attempting to root your device. Most of the Pixel 2 devices users have reported random Android Auto crashes.

Just before this Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones were reported with the OLED burn-in problem which caused a substantial harm to the brand's reputation.

Pixel 2 XL users have flooded the Pixel User Community forum with complaints. When users make a call the other person on the other side can not hear them. Some owners of the latter model are noticing that during phone calls, the microphone cuts out. This could still be a hardware related issue that's directly tied to Android Oreo.

Blowing into the bottom speaker can revive microphones that are playing up. Once the mic was working, he was able to deactivate it by blowing into the speaker.

Meanwhile, Google Pixel 2 XL owners are facing a completely new issue - screen "flashing". Doing this made my microphone work again and it continues to work when it goes out.

The Pixel User Community forums post, which was first published back in October 21, has now gained some attention with other users reporting to be experiencing the same issue. Shut my screen off one time and from there on kept happening.

For some Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL users, the microphone malfunction issue can be fixed by blowing up in the speaker which may sound old school but until Google responds, this may be the best bet.
