The company joined hands with BSNL and Vodafone in October to launch the Bharat 1 4G VoLTE feature phone and Bharat 2-Ultra, respectively.

Micromax has launched today Bharat 5 smartphone which has USP of massive battery of 5000mAh battery capacity This phone is being promoted with the punch words of "The power of 5" as it has 5000 mAh battery, 5MP front and rear cameras, 5.2 inch HD IPS display, and is priced Rs. 5555.

In terms of specs, the clear-cut victor here is the Redmi 5A which comes boasting of a spec sheet that embarrasses not just the Nokia 2, but also the Bharat 5 with the hardware it brings to the battle. It has 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and on the front is also a same camera along with flash. Everything else on the Micromax Bharat 5 is pretty average and nothing to shout about. The Nokia 2 and Moto C Plus run the same stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. Just like the Redmi 5A, the Micromax Bharat 5 aims to target the millions of first-time smartphone buyers in India. The USP of the smartphone is its large 5000mAh battery. It says that the chipset has a 1.3GHz 64-bit quad core CPU from which we can deduce that the Micromax Bharat 5 has a MediaTek MTK6737 chipset which is found in plenty of other budget offerings. The phone is available in only one variant of 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
