The smartphone, which delivers full-screen viewing experience, will retail at AED 999. It comes with a 5.99-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) display and offers 18:9 longer aspect ratio.

It runs on Huawei's home-grown octa-core Kirin 659 processor clocked at 2.36 GHz and features a Mali-T830 MP2 graphics processor.

Zhao said that Honor is the top smartphone e-brand in China in 2017 in terms of sales performance. Both models will be available via Amazon India from 7th December for ₹12,999 and ₹15,999 respectively. Up front is an 8-megapixel camera capable of 1080p video.

Aimed at "young people and those who are young at heart" according to President George Zhao, Honor also has several experiential stores in France, Spain, Italy, India and Russian Federation "where young people can come together". In terms of storage, the 4GB RAM variant comes with 64GB of storage and the 6GB RAM variant comes with 64GB / 128GB of storage. At an event in London today where it launched the 7X (review), Honor has now globally launched the V10 as the View10. Speaking of which, the Honor 7X is running on Android Nougat, with EMUI 5.1. It looks about the same as the panel featured in the recently unveiled Honor 7X, only a hair larger. Honor V10 has 4G VoLTE dual-SIM connectivity backed by a 3750 mAh battery. A 16MP primary RGB sensor, along with a secondary 2MP sensor is present at the back of the phone.

Rounding out the Honor View 10's hardware is a 3,750mAh battery, which is smaller than the 4000mAh battery found in the Mate 10 series.

Interestingly, the Honor 9i has the same camera combination to what the Honor 7x has, and it is the front-facing camera where these two phones differ.

Honor has formally announced the Honor V10, its AI-injected smartphone that's set to attack at a price point comparable to the OnePlus 5T. The device will be available in Navy Blue, Midnight Black, Beach Gold, Aurora Blue and Charm Red colour options. The memory is expandable up to 256GB via microSD. But importantly, the Honor View 10's battery supports Huawei's Super Charge fast charging technology (22.5W), which means it's able to charge from 0 to 50 percent in half an hour.

But if the global pricing remains competitive, the Honor View 10 loooks certain to give the competition a run for its money.

According to the Honor team, the View 10 will carry a price-tag of GBP 449 in the United Kingdom and 499 euros in rest of the Europe.
