We saw the word of this devices coming late last month - right around the time we caught wind of all the other versions of this OnePlus 5T in the wild. You can be a part of the launch event by purchasing tickets via Paytm.
This Star Wars Limited Edition product comes in a Stormtrooper colour scheme with an all-white back and an all-black front.
Launching on December 14 (that's a day before the USA release of The Last Jedi), the special edition trades the black aluminum backside for Stormtrooper white, black button accents, and a blood red alert slider button. The phone will ship with default Star Wars themes, ringtones, and effects. There's the traditional fingerprint sensor embedded at the rear side, and to add the cherry on the cake, there also would be a Star Wars logo embedded at the bottom of the rear panel.
To celebrate the launch, OnePlus has an event in Mumbai on December 14 at Carnival IMAX, Wadala. The alert slider now stands out in stark contrast to the white and black with a red accent.
It is no surprise that the Chinese company has chosen India for the launch of the special edition phone. The company also released a Midnight Black edition of the OnePlus 3T.
We expect that the OnePlus 5T will be made available in the market when The Last Jedi hits theatres on December 13. The smartphone has 6.01-inch full optic AMOLED display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2160) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio.
The OnePlus 5T runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and it is unknown whether the OS has received an update to Android 8.0 out of the box unlike the recently launched phones like Sony Xperia XZ1 and the HTC U11.
