TVS launches Bluetooth connected 125cc scooter

TVS Motor Company, a leading manufacturer of two-wheelers and three-wheelers in the world, today, announced its foray in the 125cc scooter segment with the launch of TVS NTORQ 125.

Home based TVS Motor Company on February 5 launched the racing inspired NTorq smart scooter. The TVS NTorq 125 boasts of a number of innovative features, some of which are not even present in motorcycles.

After a successful run in the 110cc scooter segment with the Scooty, Wego and Jupiter range, TVS Motor Company on Monday stepped into the 125cc scooter segment in India with the launch of the NTorq 125. Let's take a deep dive to know more about TVS' new sporty scooter.

The major highlight of the scooter is the new SmartXonnect technology, which basically connects user's smartphone through a Bluetooth-enabled application. Targeted at young riders, the NTorq 125 is powered by what the company says is the state-of-the-art CVTi-REVV three-valve engine which achieves a top speed of 95kph, claimed to be the highest in the segment. "It is a great addition to our scooter portfolio". With the official unveiling just hours away now, here's what you should expect from the upcoming TVS 125 cc scooter.

The cycle parts are also premium for the NTorq 125.

Because it's the most powerful scooter in TVS' line-up.

The TVS SmartXonnect platform will allow features like navigation assistance, top speed recorder, display phone battery strength, give alerts for service reminders, etc on the TVS NTORQ 125. The newest TVS scooter has a 1,285mm wheelbase, 155mm ground clearance and 116.1kg of kerb weight.

Equipped with unique Daytime Running Lamps (DRL), TVS NTORQ 125 is available in the colour selection of Matte Yellow, Matte Green, Matte Red and Matte White. Other features include parking brakes, engine kill switch, dual-side steering lock, USB charger, pass by switch and disk brake at front. The front telescopic suspension gets a 30mm travel and rear gets a gas charged monoshock. It would compete with the likes of Honda Grazia, Honda Activa and Suzuki Access in the Indian automatic scooter market.
