Google Play now lets you try games without downloading them

Google has introduced the concept of Instant Apps in 2016, which allowed users to preview apps without installing them. Furthermore, these titles will also be shown in a dedicated "Arcade" section inside the Google Play Games app. Still, the option will allow players to demo games more easily, which is clearly the goal from Google's perspective.

Google has planned to launch a new feature for its users that will enable us to use apps from Google's play store without actually downloading them into our smartphones.

For now, there are a handful of games available such as Clash Royale, Words with Friends 2, Bubble Witch 3 Saga and more.

Google also promises that the video ads will use machine learning to ensure their relevance, so you should only get videos for stuff that's similar to the apps you already use. However, please note that you will not be given the entire game to play. In order to check out a new game, you have to download and install it first, which takes quite a bit of time and storage space on your phone, besides consuming data. It also comes with tags like "New" or "Action" to help users search for games on Play Store. They made a decision to increase the file size because many games require more space simply for graphics. Users can experience the new Play Instant service in the Google Play Store, Play Games app or even at places where the link to a game is shared. The apps can be booted up instantly from their listings in the Play Store or the Play Games app, and you'll be given a sample of the gameplay to try out. There's absolutely no install time and games run exactly like they would if they had been installed onto your phone. Only six games have the feature available now, but Google is working with developers and game publishers to add Google Play Instant to more titles.
