Colbert not taking this "Kanye loves Trump" news well

Colbert not taking this

In the midst of the controversy surrounding his love for President Donald Trump, Yeezy invited TMZ founder Harvey Levin to his office, where he dropped a freestyle about slavery and "white dominance". But the reaction to West's tweets, in which he called Trump his "brother" with whom he shares "dragon energy", was different, in part because Trump himself weighed in, retweeting two of them.

Fans remain confused about West's behavior, but watching Kris shift into damage control mode is a familiar vibe for Kardashian stans.

In a tweet on Thursday, West wrote that while hate is a similar emotion to love, "hate is not the answer".

The interview turned out to be mostly a monologue by the president in which he recited a litany of his favorite talking points - no collusion with Russian Federation, leaker/liar James Comey, the fake news media, his election victory, distrust of the Justice Department, etc. - and the show's hosts often struggled to get a word in edgewise.

"Westworld" star Jeffrey Wright tweeted, "In case you suppose Donald Trump is an effective different to something, you are out of your phucking tree".

John Legend praised West's brilliance but said he didn't agree with his views in another tweet which read, "I love that great, brilliant artists have the power to imagine a better future. However artists can not be blind to the reality".

Extra celebrities additionally shared their sentiments on West's Trump ideas.

Many celebrities immediately unfollowed Kanye, including Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Harry Styles, and Nicki Minaj.

However not everybody has condemned West for his controversial statements.

Mentioning that Chance the Rapper also tweeted, writing, "Black People don't have to be Democrats", Doocy asked if Trump thought the black community had been ignored by Republicans of the past. West led the Drudge Report, Sean Hannity called it "a new political landscape in America", and Breitbart posted 11 photos about West's tweets and other related ones on Instagram in 24 hours.

Kim Kardashian also stepped into the conversation when her husband's mental health was questioned. "I think you can point a finger at the federal government fairly and say to the Bush administration, "You failed" - because they did fail - without bringing race into it". "That's just not fair".

"When he spoke out about Trump..." "However that is HIS opinion".

He added: "I really appreciate this dialogue with John Legend because I'm actually very empathetic. He by no means mentioned he agrees along with his politics".
