National Football League player on the hook for $10 million bill after tweet

The new safety for the Cleveland Browns sent out a tweet in advance of the NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors. But viral the message has gone, and now, it is one of the top 20 most retweeted posts in the 12-year history of Twitter. Things could get costly for the NFL football player but there's no doubt he's counting on the Cavaliers to take home the big trophy.

According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, it's the most retweeted tweet in the United States between May 23 and May 29.

On the other hand, Randall has angered a large faction of that fan base by openly rooting for the Golden State Warriors to defeat the Cavs in their best-of-seven series that will begin Thursday at Oracle Arena in Oakland. The Browns defensive back tweeted this out late Sunday night after the Warriors finished off the Rockets to set up yet another NBA Finals matchup with the Cavaliers...

"I definitely didn't think the Cleveland fanbase would go this insane about it", Randall continued. At $99.99 each for jerseys, that would mean Randall could be spending $77.7 million.

Coach Hue Jackson, who plans to jump into Lake Erie on Friday to make good on a promise he made when the team was going 0-16 last season, knew Randall would get some heat for his tweet.

"I love when athletes engage with fans in fun and creative ways, so if Damarious is serious about the idea, I'd love to have Fanatics support him so he's not paying for his everything on his own", Rubin told SI.com in a statement.

One fan responded to the jersey post by saying "Zero chance he delivers".

He later added, "Even if the Cavs do lose, I actually still plan on doing something for the fans. I said that to our football team".

"I don't think any Cavs fans would sell me any tickets anymore", he said.
