E3 2018: 8 Ups & 5 Downs From Sony's Conference

Ghost of Tsushima, at least, was the beneficiary of a lengthy gameplay trailer, showing a gorgeous game-world and bloody samurai-style combat. The long-awaited Spider-Man PS4 video game debuted a new trailer at Sony's E3 showcase this week, and it's a smorgasbord of action, sleek graphics, and sinister villains.

More details continue to come out of E3 regarding Marvel's Spider-Man and at PlayStation's E3 booth, print copies of the Daily Bugle have further teased Miles Morales' role in the game.

Who Is The Mystery Spider-Man PS4 Villain?

The Sony conference at E3 was the first time any gameplay footage was revealed from the PS4 exclusive. After spending time on games like Ghosts of Tsushima, Death Stranding, and The Last of Us Part II, the publisher ended up only having one playable demo for us to get our hands on: Spider-Man. First announced at E3 two years ago, Sony has been teasing it ever since.

Looking a bit like the premise behind Batman's breakout game, Arkham Asylum, the trailer begins with Electro breaking out all the prisoners from the supermax prison The Raft. But did our intrepid reporter spot the Avengers themselves in-game?

Gamers can find out for sure when Spider-Man comes out on the PlayStation 4 on September 7. The trailer also features its own self-contained twist, so look forward to that as you watch.

He's never really still, which makes sense for the acrobatic Spider-Man. Faced with overwhelming odds and higher stakes, Spider-Man must rise up and be greater.

It didn't take me long to start putting together stylish combos with Spidey's plethora of different moves, and I can't wait to see what other techniques I'll be able to use in the final game. Just as he's ready to focus on life as Peter, a new villain threatens New York City.
