Nintendo Confirms ‘Fortnite’ for Nintendo Switch

Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, expressed his desires for PS4 and Xbox to be able to cross-play together. We'll keep you posted as the story develops.

At present, Epic says there are no plans to bring the original "Save the World" PvE component of "Fortnite" to Switch.

Early this morning, Simon Aarons tweeted a screenshot of Fortnite data pulled from Nintendo's eShop servers (more here, and a screenshot right on Nintendo's server here) as they prepare for the game's release.

While it does sound rage-inducing, we have to look at it from the PS4's perspective.

The Verge noted that the same appears to be the case with the Nintendo Switch version, a fact that TechCrunch has since verified with an Epic spokesperson.

Based on the screenshot Aarons shared on Monday, Fortnite will launch on the Switch on June 12th, 2018, which just so happens to be the day that Nintendo will stream its E3 event. Save it, then log out and log in to your Nintendo Switch account. You'll be able to take the L on public transport. Yay?

Bear in mind though that you can't change this username again on either account for two weeks, so make sure you're sure before you go ahead with this.
