Last five trapped in Thai cave will be brought out on Tuesday

The Thai official overseeing the effort to rescue members of a teen soccer team trapped in a flooded cave says a third rescue operation has begun Tuesday and aims to bring out the remaining four boys and their coach.

"Harry", as he is known in the global caving community, cancelled a planned holiday and jetted in to northern Thailand as part of the worldwide team trying to get the youngsters out of the Tham Luang cave.

All the rescued boys and their coach were taken to a hospital in the nearby city of Chiang Rai. They'll be allowed to enter the room if tests show the boys are free of infection.

They spent nine days in darkness until two British divers found them, before their drawn-out rescue that captivated global attention.

The first eight boys rescued from a Thai cave are in decent physical and mental health with some even asking for chocolate, but they remain in hospital and under psychological observation for any lasting damage from their underground ordeal.

Writing in elegant Thai script, the boys urged their parents not to worry, adding that they hoped they wouldn't get too much homework after being rescued and couldn't wait to eat their favorite foods again.

Graphics explaining how the divers managed to rescue the four boys have been circulating on social media.

They'll also be bringing back 3 Navy SEALS and a medic who have been in the cave with the team since the first day of the rescue efforts. The first rescue mission of the soccer team commenced on Sunday, July 8.

They had been trapped inside the Tham Luang cave for more than two weeks.

Rescuers are moving ahead quickly because they are afraid monsoon rains will completely flood the caves.

For more than a week, officials have been pumping millions of gallons of water out of the cave, trying to combat heavy rains on Sunday and Monday. "We have set the plan for four people so if they want to take five out (at the same time), then they need to change the plan".

Soccer's governing body, FIFA, has invited the boys to the World Cup final in Moscow on Sunday if they're well enough to attend. "Leaving here in case it may be useful in the future", he tweeted Monday.
