Manchester United reject massive offer from Bracelona for Paul Pogba

In a bid that has been labelled "disrespectful" and "pathetic" by fans, Manchester United have unsurprisingly rejected an offer for World Cup winning midfielder, Paul Pogba.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Barca have offered €50 million for the Frenchman, plus centreback Yerry Mina and midfielder Andre Gomes.

Pogba came through the youth system at United before leaving for Juventus on a free transfer.

Back in 2016, the 25-year-old completed his move back to Old Trafford for a-then world record fee, but things could have been very different according to one of Barcelona's directors.

Pogba did not want to continue partnering Nemanja Matic at the base of a two-man midfield, and instead pushed for United to switch to a 4-3-3 - giving him his preferred position on the left of a midfield three.

The Portuguese harshly criticised some of the younger players on tour with his team in the U.S., while he has also warned the board over their lack of activity in the transfer window.

It has been claimed that Pogba's agent Mino Raiola has already agreed the outline of personal terms on a contract with Barcelona and a €110m deal could be done.

But Manchester United are confident they will be keeping Pogba as Mourinho looks for his side to close the gap on Premier League champions Manchester City.

If the 55-year-old does not last at the 20-time Premier League champions this campaign, perhaps he would consider taking on an global job, something he has not done before. Thank you. He's my friend, I grew up with him.

In theory, Barcelona would have until the end of the month to sign Pogba before the transfer window closes in Spain.

"The players are in a closed camp, isolated from the external world, from commercial compromises, and every possible influence".

Raiola would love to make the deal happen - although he faces a huge battle to persuade United to sell with no time to find a replacement.
