Colton Underwood was revealed as the new Bachelor today on Good Morning America, just hours after Bachelor Nation fans watched him leave Paradise in tears.

Colton Underwood shared a photo on Instagram showing him with Tia Booth during their hot dog party on Bachelor in Paradise.

The former football player and self-confessed virgin appeared on the show on Tuesday September 4 to talk about the upcoming gig following a tearful breakup with Tia Booth on the spin-off Bachelor in Paradise.

When asked if he was hoping his season ends with a proposal, Colton said: "Absolutely".

'It would just depend on where I'm at in my life, but I think that you can definitely find love on The Bachelor, ' he told the famous magazine at the TCA summer press tour.

Season 22 of The Bachelor was one of the most heated and controversial in recent memory, with Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. having second thoughts as production wound down and after he chose Kufrin his fiancée, and then ran back to runner-up Lauren Burnham.

In a sneak peek of tonight's episode, Colton admits that he no longer wants to pursue a relationship with Tia.

On Tuesday's episode of Good Morning America, ABC announced that Underwood is the show's newest leading man.

Underwood, who is also known for once dating Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, will be the first self-proclaimed νirgiп to be the Bachelor.

Congratulations to Colton, or better yet, good luck. "Thank you for teaching me even more about myself, and most importantly, for your friendship that I know will continue far beyond Paradise", Colton wrote.

Earlier, Underwood was among the final four contestants on "The Bachelorette".
